Fire Mate Intumescent Acrylic Sealant 295ml
This fire retardant acrylic sealant can be used to seal joints and cavities in firewalls, as well as pipe and cable penetrations. It can also secure the internal perimeter of fire-rated door and window frames. When exposed to heat the sealant swells to over 150% of its original size to block the spread of fire and smoke. It’s over paintable too, so you can make your handiwork blend seamlessly into the rest of the room.
Fire Mate Intumescent Acrylic Sealant is non-slump so it won’t run, making it easier to apply. It’s also fast curing and tack-free in just 15 minutes to get the job done faster. There’s no need for priming when you use it on most construction substrates, which will save you time and effort. It’s also easy to tool off so there’s no messy removal process.
